The Membership of Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc. (pictured above from left to right: Mr. Alan Rock, Treasurer, Fr. James Powers, Vice President, and Fr. James Tobolski, Secretary) express their appreciation and gratitude to the 2015 Catholic Charities Bureau Board of Directors. At their Annual Meeting of January 21, 2015, the Membership reappointed Mr. Kyle Torvinen and Dr. Renée Wachter to a second three-year term on the Board.
Mr. Torvinen received his BA in Biology from the College of St. Scholastica and served as a Fisheries Biologist for the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game. He obtained his Juris Doctor at Hamline Law and belongs to the Douglas County Bar, Wisconsin Bar and Minnesota Bar Associations and is the senior partner with Torvinen, Jones and Routh, SC in Superior, WI.
Dr. Wachter is the Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin, Superior. She came to Superior from Missouri where she served as Dean of the School of Business at Truman State University. She has been serving in her current capacity as Chancellor at UWS Superior since her inauguration in April of 2012.
