At the January 15, 2014 Annual Meeting of Catholic Charities Bureau, the Most Reverend Peter Christensen (pictured center above), announced the re-election of Matthew Crowell (pictured above at right), as Chair of the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities Bureau for 2014. Alan Rock, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Bureau and Treasurer of the Membership (pictured above left), expressed his appreciation to Mr. Crowell for his leadership and service. Matt Crowell is Vice President of the BMO Harris Bank in Ashland and an active community volunteer who also serves on the Board of the Ashland Area Development Corporation and the Northwest Business Development Corporation.
Bishop Christensen also announced the re-appointment of three Board members: James Kumbera (pictured above left), Bluette Puchner (pictured above center), and Jim Russ (pictured above right). Mr. Kumbera is a retired Economic Development Administrator. Ms. Puchner is an Information Technology Consultant and the Associate Director of the Lay Ministry Outreach Program and Chairperson for the Koinonia Retreat Core Committee in the Diocese of Superior. She is a commissioned Lay Minister and Lay Leader of Prayer in the Diocese. Mr. Russ is a retired pharmacist of Superior and a longtime supporter of Catholic Charities Bureau. Mr. Russ previously served on the Challenge Center Board of Directors.
