Jennifer Felty, Director

The appointment of Jennifer Felty as the new Director of Headwaters, Inc., Rhinelander, has been announced by Alan Rock, Executive Director of the Catholic Charities Bureau, Superior.  Ms. Felty brings with her more than 20 years of experience, including  the oversight of multi-county programs providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities including mental health services.  She succeeds Mary Hardtke, who is retiring as Director after 13 years with Headwaters.

Assuming her responsibilities as the new Director in mid-August, Ms. Felty will continue the mission of Headwaters to provide individualized services that are designed to maximize each person’s daily living and vocational skills in order to be integrated into the community to the fullest extent possible.   Ms. Felty is originally from southern Minnesota, graduating from the Minnesota State University at Mankato.  Ms. Felty said, “I have tremendous respect for Headwaters, Inc. programs and I am eager for the opportunity to become part of this outstanding organization.”

Headwaters, Inc. was established in 1969 as a not-for-profit transitional community based work-rehabilitation center.   They provide services to people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, chronically mentally ill, brain injury, physically disabled, individuals who are economically disadvantaged, and children with special needs in Forest, Oneida, and Vilas counties.  Headwaters is affiliated with Catholic Charities Bureau, Diocese of Superior.  “We are pleased to have attracted a professional of Ms. Felty’s background and experience to the Director’s position of Headwaters,” said Alan Rock, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Bureau.
